JAVA Web Developer The developers will be required to have proficient knowledge of Java with an emphasis on J2EE. That is, the work will be based on XHTML, JSP, CSS, Servlets, EJBs, Applets, and several APIs from the J2EE architecture. The system will use XML extensively in its interfaces. The tool developers should have a basic understanding of XML with respect to importation and processing. Furthermore, the system will rely heavily on security. Mid-Level Java Developer Mid-level Java/J2EE developer is needed to work in a team environment to build and develop mission critical statistical systems within a multi-tier architecture. Candidate must have minimum 3+ years of J2EE development with experience in EJB, JDBC, UML, and RUP. Experience with Oracle and/or Struts is helpful. Experience in full development life-cycle. Must be able to work effectively with customers and team in designing and developing solutions. Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Works from specifications in developing and modifying moderately complex software programming applications. Involved with designing, coding, benchmark testing, debugging and documentation of programs. Applications generally deal with utility programs, job control language, macros, subroutines and other control modules. Windows System Administrator Duties will include providing network support in a Windows 2000 and Windows XP environment. Candidate will be responsible for maintaining regular backups, restoring files, rotating backup media, administering Exchange 2000 mail servers, Windows 2000 file servers and backup servers, remote access servers, DNS and Web servers and maintaining both the hardware and software on these systems. Candidate will also be responsible for monitoring the health of all systems and troubleshooting network connectivity problems in a simple routed environment and should be able to resolve problems through hardware replacement, device configuration and/or adding/modifying firewall rules if necessary. Candidate will be responsible for maintaining security on multiple systems by examining log files, installing patches and should be familiar with maintaining access control lists. Candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving site-wide workstation policies. Candidate will be responsible for maintaining DHCP and DNS databases and should have a strong working knowledge of and understanding of TCP/IP. Candidate should also be familiar with IIS Web Server and have the ability to maintain various small sized web sites. Candidate should have a general working knowledge of VOIP technologies and CISCO IP phones. Candidate must have a strong technical background and be able to demonstrate sound troubleshooting skills, be detail oriented and organized, show good initiative, have the ability to effectively work autonomously, and possess excellent time management and customer service skills. Unix System Administrator The UNIX System Administrator will be responsible for hands-on system administration support, system maintenance and operations support of the customer on UNIX servers and several Windows 2000 based workstations. Duties include performing the basic day to day system administration tasks, installation of new customer software releases, system upgrades, evaluation and installation of patches and resolution of software related problems associated with COTS/GOTS products on Sun UNIX and Windows 2000 platforms. The System Administrator must understand NIS + and NFS as well as monitoring all system processes, ability to script in UNIX and modify scripts as necessary for automation and configuration management. The administrator must have general knowledge of network administration and possess network configuration management skills. The System Administrator provides general troubleshooting on the customer system maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity.
